As the number of children being diagnosed with autism continues to grow, so too must our expectations. We must EXPECT MORE from the medical profession. We must EXPECT MORE from our schools and universities. And we must EXPECT MORE from our governments.
It's only by expecting more from our organisations and institutions, from our policy makers and politicians—from ourselves—that children with autism will become the fully realised teenager, the creative adult, and the caring sibling, partner, and friend that they’re truly meant to be.
